Casteism is an issue because it makes good poiitlcs. Independent India’s constitution was written by a dalit (Dr Ambedkar) while there were plenty of brahmin and upper caste lawyers capable of doing so in the Congress. Independent India should have done away with caste BUT because of the poiitlcs of RESERVATION caste issues remain. Infact people pay to be classified as low caste !Fairness is not racism. It is people’s desire to look like the ruling class the Persian and mongols and the Europeans. For the last 500 years, we have become so conscious of the whiteness of our rulers, we have even made our gods white ! Does it not bother you to see Krushna, Vishnu or other gods made of white marble ? or painted in paler shades of blue ?These are issues for us to address not Aamir Khan !
